Jaxon's First Trip to the ER

Jaxon gave us a little scare the other weekend when he was running a fever of 100.7. He worried us even more when a little blood showed up in his diaper. I paged our pediatrician who we hadn't formally met yet and by the time she called us back I had us ready to go to the ER.

She recommended the ER in Pensacola which was probably a shorter drive but a longer wait (due to patient load) than the hospital at Eglin.

But as we soon found out Pensacola was the best choice as they have their own dedicated pediatric ER. As we were waiting for the attending doctor to give us her opinion, Jaxon sailed an uneventful load into his diaper. Having no more blood and no fever we were on our way home for a wonderful dinner of Whataburger (thank goodness there is one in Navarre) and we went off to bed.
