You Know You are a Parent When...

Sorry for the lack of updates as a computer problem has bit us in the rear end this week. Our primary computer has quit working and after a week of troubleshooting, Nick finally found out that this problem is being covered by the manufacturer even though the computer is out of warranty! Thank goodness for the internet!

Anyways, we have a lot of stuff to catch you guys up on especially with pictures and movies and we plan on doing so as soon as we figure out how to sync our backup computer with our primary...but the following is hilarious enough without pictures which also leads to the title of this blog...

You Know You are a Parent When...

Nick went to work today after a very poor night of sleep and when he got home he decided he needed a nap. After he awoke from his peaceful slumber he came out into the living room and put on his glasses. He sat at the computer for about a half an hour squinting and straining to see the computer. Finally I asked him if he was alright and he told me that he felt like he had awoken to find someone had changed his glasses on him. It took him another couple of hours of bouncing the baby and trying to pacify him before he went into the bathroom and looked into his eyes and realized that despite putting contact solution into his case and putting it under the sink like he always does that his contacts were still in his eyes.

Truly, you know you are a dad when you have made a mistake like this one.

Hope all is well with everyone and we promise to inundate blogger.com with more updates soon!

Funny! I hope you are all able to sleep again soon! No matter how many classes you go to or stories you hear, nothing can prepare you for being a parent!

Thanks for the tax advice--we did the TurboTax one year, but it seemed easier last year to get personal help at the base. I need to organize my MK papers, and then we will be ready to file. We usually do it last minute, so if we actually get it done in February, it will be such a relief!

Destin sounds so nice right now!!! We would love to see you guys again. I do miss those "good old days."
