Happy Halloween

April and I had an awesome time last Friday carving our pumpkins. Last year for halloween I was on a plane bound for the mideast and I just can't tell you how greatful I am to be at home for this year's festivities. Now you may all be thinking why did you carve them a week in advance? Well I guess I wanted to make sure I had the memories no matter where I was on Friday. We also roasted the seeds but decided that the normal salt wouldn't do, so we spiced them up with some Tony Chachere's and cayenne, mmm mmm.

We also have been on sort of a chili-kick, which just seems to go perfectly with the crisp fall weather. I'm also a little bit worried, being new homeowners isn't stressful enough without the fear that some neighborhood ne'er-do-wells will engage in more trickery than treatery. So we've bought some pretty good candy to try and bribe the neighborhood kids. I even checked with the CPSC no melamine in this chocolate.

The only bad part so far was the fact that my pumpkin pulled a frosty the snowman and melted, so now we are down to single pumpkin ops but I am confident that Halloween will be great!!
