Rotisserie
As of late I toss and turn like crazy at night. Sometimes I feel as though I am up more than I am asleep. I am getting used to it and I am convinced it is just my body's way of preparing me to get up for all those late night feedings. Nick on the other hand I think is starting to break down. Inevitably my tossing and turning is causing Nick to also toss and turn. A couple nights ago he sat up and without hesitation he said to me "I'm starting to feel like a rotisserie". I pondered this while and then next day the first thing I said to him was "You feel like rotisserie! Well I feel like a freaking hot dog machine where I roll one way and the baby rolls the other!" Immediately he felt bad and we have been taking more naps to catch up on some obviously much missed sleep :0
Thanksgiving at the Campground
This year for Thanksgiving we spent the day with Nick's Dad and Kathy at Big Lagoon Sate Park. It was an untraditional thanksgiving day for us but a wonderful one at that. Dad smoked a turkey. We all decided that smoking the turkey was an awesome way to go. Kathy made all the traditional sides including sweet potato casserole (Nick's favorite and maybe my new favorite too). And I made green beans and an apple crisp. Everything was very good and anytime we are able to spend time with our families we are very grateful.

So Very Thankful
This year is so different from last. For starters Nick is home!! We have moved, bought our first house and vehicle, and of course are expecting our first little nugget just a few weeks. Today we will be spending Thanksgiving at the state park with Dad, Kathy and a smoked turkey. For all things things I am thankful. And to all all our family and friends we wish you a delightful Thanksgiving and good luck with your Black Friday shopping :)

My Clumsy Pril
Okay, just a quick note because the following is hilarious...
In our child birth class we learned that pregnant women have a problem with their self-image. Not that they think they are not pretty anymore but that a certain part of the brain controls our self-image. It's the part of our body that helps us judge where we are spatially and prevents us from being clumsy. Pregnant women are famous and April is giving the stereotype a run for its money for being clumsy. The reason for this is because our beloved wive's truly think they are smaller than they are.
Anyways, I walked in the door yesterday with a huge box of Christmas decorations we just bought from Walmart and she stood there completely oblivious to the fact that the only way I could fit myself and the object would be if I completely disappeared. That's strike 1.
Strike 2 is April hitting the nugget. Not actually hitting him mind you but completely running into some object like say a couch or end table that never moves, after which she apologizes profusely.
It's so precious the way she says she taps the nugget, I know he's well protected in there it's just another little moment that we cherish because it's one of those pregnancy moments, if you have seen Notes from the Underbelly you would understand.
You may have noticed I haven't mentioned strike 3 up until now, and to mention it now I think is just bad form because after strike 3 "someone is out" and if anyone is out it would be nugget and he at least needs to wait a couple more weeks...
And bragging rights for "me" because I've posted the last two posts in a row!!!

Christmas
Well, the missus and I went to Walmart today and bought a crap load of Christmas decorations. We thought that while April could still move we should be proactive and start planning for Christmas especially since thanksgiving is so late this year.
So, we are set on our decorations but one important detail is missing. Both April's mom and my mom played christmas music from thanksgiving through new years. It isn't the fact that music was played it was more of the type of music played that makes our quandry so difficult. You see, April's mom plays Kenny G's Christmas album so much that it has started to sound scratchy, CDs only hold their integrity for the first 1 million playings and my mom to a lesser degree played Mariah Carey's Christmas album non stop. And if I hear "All I Want for Chirstmas is You," one more time I may vomit.
So what we are looking for is a good reccomendation for Christmas music... I have my I-tunes giftcard handy (which I ripped off from the nugget don't ask) and I am just looking for suggestions and "I won't be home for Christmas" by Blink 182 doesn't count so let us know, what is your favorite Christmas music because if I don't get a good suggestion I'll just have to go with the Nutcracker or Steamheim Manroller... wait... is that it eh who cares?
Also... if anyone suggests the Gloria Estefan Christmas Album I also have to say that although Gloria Estefan and to a larger part the Miami Sound Machine are excellent it comes in a distant third, to the afforementioned opuses. I think I'd rather play the loveshack over and over... than listen to that.
